“He’s like a really really reeeally poor man’s Christian Bale”
“If Ryan Gosling had a slightly uglier and skinnier twin brother, Matt Andrade would be him.”
A mixed breed Latino/Anglo (Coyote) from the New Mexico desert, Matt grew up surrounded by Native American art, Latino food, and a television dedicated three important acronyms, NFL, SNL, and HBO.
Matt loves, National Parks, Animals, and People.
Born in New Mexico "The Land of Enchantment", Matthew developed a deep love for the great outdoors where he spent his youth, fishing, hiking, and exploring the wild.
Matthew first fell into acting with an opportunity to play the title role of 'Drunkard' in his 4th grade D.A.R.E class skit. Getting up in front of the class Matt instantly began displaying the features and symptoms of an inebriated fellow who just needed to "walk it off". The premier thespian endevor was highlighted with some drooling, muttering of random nonsense, and a finally ending with an imaginary shouting match that would result in the drunkard passing out face down.
The performance granted him "Your the radest dude!" comments from his classmates, which is basically the 4th grade equivalent to an Academy Award.
"The portrayal was dead on. Like seriously."

Halfway through middle school, a schoolyard fight would thrust him into the world of athletics. Quickly after the "altercation"( as his teachers called it), He enrolled in a martial arts class which led to another spurring moment to embrace the performance world. The martial arts school instructed it's students about sparring and the execution of a KATA. The KATA is a type of imaginary fight that students would practice to execute form, and naturally Matthew excelled at fake fighting. His imaginary fighting skills began sweeping tournaments with first place trophies.
Along came High school, where Matt finally had a chance to place his creative performing instincts to use. After a JV Soccer match, a drama director of the annual high school play approached Matthew about acting. The director's leading man had dropped out days before the performance! As a perfect opportunity to meet girls and act like and idiot, Matt gladly accepted with wild anticipation.
Meeting Girls, dressing like an idiot.
The show went off well, leading to the next show, and to the next show, and thus an addiction began, in which Matthew appeared and star in over 40 plays over the next 8 years, throughout high school & college.
After college he performed in venues around the country such as Chicago Shakespeare Theatre , Piper's Alley, National Hispanic Cultural Center, & Sacred Fools Theatre Company.
